1993-1995
After her studies ceramic crafts from 1990 to 1993 at Antoinette van der Steen Hennie has
followed courses Sculpturing from 1993 tot 1995 at Marielle van den Bergh in Eindhoven.
A large variety of materials was applied for the sculptures.
Sculptures and portraits from light-concrete, fired clay, cement, bent metal (the "Wave"),
soapstone ("Moeder en Kind"), wood and carton (the "komma's") originate from this period.
1995-2000
In 1995 Hennie started in Arendonk the course Sculpturing with John van Oers and his collegues.
In most cases a traditional approach was taken, producing figures en portraits in clay,
cast in plaster or cement. A number have been -when the type of clay allowed this- fired
2000-2005
During this period Hennie also took part in study-sessions with Thea van Herpt,
where a.o. the series "joffers" and the sculptures "Maartje" have been made
This period overlaps the study 'Monumental Art', now better known as
'Mixed Media'. This study was started in 2003.
